I offer photography coaching sessions and workshops to help you improve your photography. My approach follows principles of Zen Photography - a nurturing approach to help you achieve your best photographs at your current level of ability. Everyone can make beautiful and personal photographs!
During a coaching session, we work through images in your portfolio or plan photos you've always wanted to make. I can help you master that technique you've always wanted to learn or work through the basics with you in a way you'll understand. I can help you with your post-processing workflow in Lightroom - and when you need to move to Photoshop.
$75/hour | $25 deposit for first meeting

Workshops & Classes
I offer workshops and talks on a variety of photographic and post-processing techniques. Topic include travelogues of my trips, tips on travel photography, composition, and taking a Zen approach to photography. Go to my Events page to see my upcoming talks and workshops. Whether you are coming to St. Louis as a tourist or you live here and are looking for new places to photograph, I offer individualized St. Louis Photography Tours. Tours are tailored to a certain area or type of photography.

I'm a self-taught photographer, but a trained musician and music educator. I've been teaching all levels (including adults) for over 30 years. I have published widely and am a prolific speaker.
