I traveled to Cuba in 2018 for the first time and found the country to be enchanting. The streets were full of life and color and the people were friendly. I visited Havana, Trinidad, and Cienfuegos. As advertised, there were classic cars and Cuban salsa. I focused on creating images that brought me closer to the people I met on the streets of Cuba.

Melacon at Dawn

The famous Melacon in Havana, Cuba. It's a sea wall leading into the capitol building in the background. In the morning, the sun rises behind the capitol building - built to look like the U. S. capitol in Washington. In this photo, the dome is under scaffolding giving it a sense of movement. Sony A7R3 240mm 1/6@f14 ISO100
